This presentation was the keynote address at the 7th SanCop (Sanitation Community of Practice) meeting in London on 10th November 2010. Based on preparatory work for the SHARE pathfinder paper on sanitation markets, it presents what we know about sanitation markets, what we can do based on what we know and what more we need to know, thereby setting out an agenda for research in the coming few years.
