Effectiveness of Public Financing for Sanitation

In this project for WaterAid, Trémolet Consulting sought to evaluate the effectiveness of public financing for sanitation. We developed a methodology to assess the effectiveness of such financing across the sanitation value chain and applied the methodology to three case studies: urban sanitation in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, and rural sanitation in the State of Bihar (India) and in Thailand. The case study research has now been completed. Initial results will be presented at the upcoming IRC symposium in November 2010.
